My name is Mooznah. I work in the Department of English Studies of the University of Mauritius and I teach Linguistics. The language I feel most comfortable for reading and writing is English, although speaking in Kreol is something I do most of the time. I struggle with reading texts in Kreol and I write Kreol like a layman, ie, I use mostly etymological spelling. I participated in a session of intercomprehension a few years ago, but then other research interests caught up. It is nice to be here and I hope to discover new perspectives by using this platform.
